• Choose between Warmth, Focus and Shine tone modes on each preamp to give vocals and instruments a smooth vintage character, a more forward midrange or a polished high-frequency presence.
• Apply real-time Max Processing while recording, with six musical compression presets created for vocals, guitars, bass and drums and inspired by classic 1176, LA-2A and VCA compressor designs.
• Combine the three preamp tone modes with Max compression to access more than 18 character combinations directly from the interface without placing additional plug-ins in the recording path.
• Set recording levels quickly with Auto-Gain and use Clip Protection to guard against unexpected volume peaks during dynamic vocal, instrument and podcast performances.
• Expand the interface with up to eight additional input channels using an ADAT-equipped microphone preamp, creating a 12-input recording system for larger bands, drum kits and ensemble sessions.
• Connect two pairs of studio monitors to the Main and Alt outputs and switch between them from the front panel to compare a mix through different speakers.
• Provide two performers with headphone monitoring through the dedicated ¼-inch and ⅛-inch stereo outputs, while the built-in talkback microphone simplifies communication from the control position.
• Connect synthesizers, drum machines and MIDI controllers using the MIDI In and MIDI Out connections, and integrate compatible USB devices through the built-in USB-C hub port.
